Honey Garlic Shrimp

Ingredients

  • 1 lb raw shrimp peeled and deveined
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp Cairo Apiaries raw honey
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tsp cornstarch
  • 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley or cilantro for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  • In a small bowl, whisk together the garlic, honey, soy sauce, rice vinegar, cornstarch, red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper.
  • Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  • Add the shrimp to the skillet and cook until pink and opaque, about 2-3 minutes on each side.
  • Pour the honey mixture over the shrimp and cook for another 2-3 minutes, stirring constantly, until the sauce has thickened.
  • Serve hot over rice or noodles, garnished with fresh parsley or cilantro, if desired.
