Stir-fry shrimp with a sauce made from raw honey, garlic, soy sauce, and a touch of chili flakes. Serve over steamed rice or noodles with a medley of colorful vegetables.

Ingredients
- 1 lb large shrimp (peeled and deveined)
- 4 cloves garlic (minced)
- 3 tablespoon olive oil
- ⅓ cup Cairo Apiaries Honey
- 3 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 onion
- 1 bell pepper
- 2 cups broccoli florets
- 1 tbsp rice vinegar
- 1 tsp cornstarch
- 2 teaspoon scotch bonnet pepper (finely chopped)
- 2 carrots (julienned)
- ¼ cup fresh cilantro (finely chopped)
- 2 tablespoon lime juice
Instructions
- Marinate the Shrimp:In a medium bowl, whisk together Cairo Apiaries Raw Honey, soy sauce, 2 tablespoons of olive oil, minced garlic and chopped Scotch bonnet pepper.Add the shrimp to the bowl and toss to coat. Let the shrimp marinate for at least 10 minutes.
- Prepare the Vegetables:While the shrimp is marinating, prepare the vegetables. Thinly slice the bell pepper and onion, and julienne the carrots.
- Cook the Vegetables:Heat the remaining 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.Add the sliced onion and bell pepper, stirring frequently for about 2 minutes until they begin to soften.Add the broccoli florets and julienned carrots, and continue to stir-fry for another 3-4 minutes until the vegetables are tender-crisp.
- Cook the Shrimp:Push the vegetables to the sides of the skillet, creating a well in the center.Add the marinated shrimp to the center of the skillet, spreading them out in a single layer. Cook for about 3 minutes on each side, until the shrimp are pink and opaque.
- Combine and Thicken (Optional):Once the shrimp are cooked, stir the vegetables and shrimp together.Add the remaining marinade to the skillet. If you prefer a thicker sauce, stir in the cornstarch mixture and cook for another 1-2 minutes until the sauce has thickened.
- Finish and Serve:Remove the skillet from heat and stir in the fresh cilantro and lime juice.Serve the honey-garlic shrimp stir-fry over cooked jasmine rice or noodles for a complete meal.
