Ingredients
- 1 lb boneless skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 1/4 cup Cairo Apiaries Raw Honey
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1 onion medium
- 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
- 2 tablespoons sesame oil
- 4 cloves garlic minced
- 2 teaspoons all purpose
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1 tablespoon water
- 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
- Green onions for garnish optional
Instructions
- In a small bowl, whisk together the honey, soy sauce, rice vinegar, sesame oil, and half of the minced garlic.
- Season the chicken with the minced onion, all-purpose and the other half of the garlic
- In a large skillet or wok, heat a tablespoon of oil over medium-high heat.
- Add the chicken and cook until browned and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add the honey sauce mixture and bring it to a boil.
- In a small bowl, mix together the cornstarch and water until dissolved. Add the cornstarch mixture to the sauce in the skillet and stir until thickened.
- Return the cooked chicken to the skillet with the thickened sauce and toss to coat.
- Sprinkle with sesame seeds and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes.
- Remove from heat and let it cool slightly.
- Garnish with green onions if desired.
- Serve over rice or with your favorite vegetables.
